The CxL-30 Spectroscopic Amplifier - Fast Edition - provides a Gaussian output pulse with a shaping time of 30 ns FWHM. It is an AC coupled amplifier with integrated Bias-Tee and is designed to operate with large input capacitances.
The CxL-30 is the amplifier of choice for high-speed neutron spectroscopy with diamond detectors.

The CxL-30 Spectroscopic Amplifier provides a highly symmetric Gaussian pulse shape with 30 ns FWHM and 20 ns peaking time.
The amplifier is optimised for maximum counting rates in combination with fast-neutron diamond detectors and provides a gain of 5 mV/fC.
It is a low-noise device with a noise figure of σe- = (900 + 18/pF) electrons.

The CxL-30 Spectroscopic Amplifier is an inverting, bipolar device with an input range of ±200 fC, corresponding to 16 MeV deposited energy in diamond.
The amplifier is protected against sparks by a dedicated double input protection system DIPS™.

The capacitive load at the input of the amplifier has an impact on the resolution of the measurement. The CxL-30 has a noise level of (1000 + 20/pF)electrons.
