The flexible Solution
The B16 Diamond Neutron Probe is a compact spectroscopic-grade diamond detector in a cylindrical stainless-steel housing. The detector is designed for fast-neutron diagnostics and provides an SMA connector for bias voltage supply and signal readout. The sensor is fully protected from EMI pickup.

The neutron response function of the B16 Diamond Neutron Probe to 14.3 MeV neutrons reveals different neutron-induced nuclear reactions. The clearly separated peak corresponding to 12C(n,α)9Be is used for neutron flux monitoring, for neutron energies above 8 MeV. Below this energy the 12C(n,el) reaction is used.
The robust detector housing enables easy handling and installation and is configured as low background enclosure.
