B15 RHOMBIC DIAMOND DETECTOR
The robust Solution
The B15 Rhombic Diamond Detector is an extremely compact spectroscopic-grade diamond detector housed in a robust stainless-steel enclosure. The detector is designed for fusion neutron diagnostics and can be upgraded to be compatible with high temperatures. It provides an SMA connector for bias voltage supply and signal readout. The detector is fully protected against EMI noise pickup.
The B15 Rhombic Diamond Detector is configured for fusion projects, where an assembly of detectors is needed for large-scale neutron diagnostics.

ADDITIONAL PRODUCT INFORMATION

The neutron response function of the B15 Rhombic Diamond Detector has a characteristic shape for different neutron energies. The response to 14.3 MeV neutrons is shown in the Figure.
The clearly separated peak corresponding to 12C(n,α)9Be is used for neutron flux monitoring, for neutron energies above 8 MeV. Below this energy the 12C(n,el) reaction is used.
